Last year we partnered again with Still A Mum team to create awareness on infant mortality in Kenya and provide psychosocial support to parents who have lost their babies through the Mama Zawadi programme. Main focus this year for Platinum Credit Ltd was to impact mothers and mother’s to be who’re living in our informal settlements.
The programme also visited Mombasa City to create awareness on self-care, mental health, loss & grief, pregnancy 101,labour & delivery, postpartum care and how to take care of a new born. We embarked to empower a group of social counselors both at Amani counselling Centre and Masjid Mwajuma Mosque.
At Amani Counselling Centre, our Team Leader from Mombasa LBF Branch, Mr.Leon Lubanga gave an educative talk of Financial Management as part of the day’s agenda.
It was an interesting & refreshing experience at Masjid Mwajuma Mosque, as Still a Mum Team provided training to a group of Muslim mothers and mothers to be on mental health, loss and grief.
Overall it was an inspiring initiative.
