At Platinum Credit Ltd, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a key component of our Company’s Strategy and business activities.
One of our core CSR pillars is Health, for several years now, PCL has partnered with the Nairobi Hospice, a non-profit organization that cares for and supports patients and families facing life limiting illnesses especially Cancer and HIV/AIDS, through provision of Palliative Care.
Last year PCL team led by our MD, Mr. Oscar Murigi embarked on a mission to “Put life into the days of the patients, and not just days into their lives”, by handing over furniture to the newly refurbished Hospice facility.
This particular culminated in tree planting on their grounds and unveiling of the Mural Tree of Life. Now the patients will have a cozy and peaceful ambiance.
Continuing with our support to Nairobi Hospice, our support to them have borne fruit as they have been able to attend and reach many cancer patients as well as offer palliative care to some of the families.
The annual charity walk was held at Hillcrest International School, Nairobi where participants and some of our staff walked for 10 km and endured the rough terrain of Ngong forest, all for a great purpose.
The flag off was officiated by Tessy Mudavadi.
